Overview Celebrate spring in Japan with a curated journey through the country’s most iconic gardens and scenic landscapes. Timed for peak cherry blossom season, this 12-day tour visits ancient temples, UNESCO-listed castles, and serene parks. From Kyoto’s moss temples to Tokyo’s historic green spaces, each stop is designed to immerse you in beauty, tradition, and peaceful renewal. Itinerary Snapshot Day 1 – Garden Gateway & Island Escape Meet in Osaka and explore the seasonal flower fields and architecture of Awaji Island before traveling to Takamatsu for a welcome dinner. Day 2 – Masterpiece Gardens Stroll through the renowned Ritsurin Garden with matcha in a teahouse. In the afternoon, visit Okayama’s Kōrakuen Garden. Day 3 – Castles & Cherry Blossoms Stop at Himeji Castle and enjoy hanami in Kōko-en Garden before arriving in Kyoto to walk the Philosopher’s Path. Day 4 – Bamboo & Temple Gardens Visit the mossy sanctuary of Saihō-ji, then enjoy shōjin-ryōri in Arashiyama and stroll through its iconic bamboo grove. Day 5 – Zen & Spring Elegance Explore Ryōan-ji and Kinkaku-ji. Take part in a Kyoto ikebana class and enjoy the Miyako Odori spring dance. Day 6 – Sacred Paths to Kanazawa Visit Fushimi Inari’s torii trail before boarding a train to Kanazawa, arriving in time to relax in your nature-inspired hotel. Day 7 – Kanazawa’s Garden City Discover Kenrokuen Garden and the tranquil D.T. Suzuki Museum, then dine on Kanazawa’s renowned local cuisine. Day 8 – Bonsai to Bloom Visit Omiya Bonsai Village, then travel to Ashikaga Flower Park to experience illuminated seasonal wisteria displays. Day 9 – Park Strolls & Urban Greenery Explore Ueno Park and historic Koishikawa Kōrakuen Garden, tucked away in the heart of Tokyo. Day 10 – Tokyo by Water & Bloom Visit Tsukiji Market, then cruise the Sumida River to Asakusa. End the day at the Edo-period Hamarikyū Garden. Day 11 – Mito Day Trip Travel to Mito to explore Kairakuen Garden, one of Japan’s Three Great Gardens, during cherry blossom peak. Cancellation Policy
At Custom Japan Tours, we invest time and care into crafting your perfect Japan itinerary. We understand that plans sometimes change, and we strive to be as flexible and fair as possible while recognising the effort involved in designing bespoke travel experiences. Payment Terms To confirm your booking, we require: 50% deposit at the time of itinerary confirmation. Remaining 50% due 30 days before the tour start date. If your booking is made less than 30 days before departure, full payment is required at the time of booking. Itinerary Planning Fee A non-refundable planning fee of ¥20,000 is included in your initial payment. This fee covers the time and expertise spent researching and customising your itinerary. If you cancel after planning has commenced, this fee will be retained. Cancellation Terms In addition to the planning fee, the following cancellation terms apply: More than 7 days before departure: Full refund minus the planning fee and any non-refundable bookings made on your behalf. 7 to 2 days before departure: 50% refund, minus the planning fee and any non-refundable bookings. Less than 48 hours before departure: No refund, and itinerary changes may no longer be possible due to provider terms. However, we can provide documentation for travel insurance claims. Non-Refundable Bookings Some services (such as hotels, experiences, and transportation) may have stricter cancellation policies. We will advise you of any such conditions during the booking process. Travel Insurance We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellations, interruptions, and other unforeseen events.
